Topic Today: Into Me, You See
Hi Honey's! How are you intimate, connected, sexy souls here on earth this week? Are you living in YOUR organic life? Are you harmoniously additive free with YOUR intimacy? Or, are you still pushing intimacies limits for growth? Let's really dig into dirt and air out our special plants, shall we?
Intimacy is a process; not a thing. It is something that takes place over time and is never stagnant. It's like throwing a hand full of crocus bulbs into the air and letting them fall onto the front yard; then, take a look where they grow in the spring! In fact, intimacy can take many spots in the front lawn. Let's take a look at these patches of spouting blooms! One blotch is intellectual intimacy where two people exchange thoughts, share ideas and enjoy similarities and differences between their opinions. If they can do this in an open and comfortable way, they can become quite intimate in an intellectual area.
A second gathering of intimacy, is experiential intimacy, or intimacy activity. Examples of this would be where people get together to actively involve themselves with each other, probably saying very little to each other, not sharing any thoughts or many feelings, but being involved in mutual activities with one another. Imagine observing two house painters whose brushstrokes seemed to be playing out a duet on the side of the house. They may be shocked to think that they were engaged in an intimate activity with each other, however from an experiential point of view, they would be very intimately involved.
Another corner of intimacy is emotional intimacy, where two people can comfortably share their feelings with each other or when they empathize with the feelings of the other person, really trying to understand and trying to be aware of the other person’s emotional side.
What about sexual intimacy? You were probably wondering when I was going to get to that juicy topic; my favourite venue in the whole yard; as you must know! Although, this is the stereotypical definition of intimacy that most people are familiar with. However, this venue of intimacy includes a broad range of sensuous activity and is much more than just sexual intercourse. In fact, it may not even get to that; and that's ok. It’s any form of sensual expression with another person. Therefore, intimacy can be many things for different people at different times.
I came to realize years ago that intimacy must start with my relationship with myself. I call it "Into Me, You See", Intimacy. It must come before friends, before loved ones, before a romantic partner. Because if I don't "See Into Me," how can I expect someone else to? So I started cultivating the bulbs of intimacy with myself. I started to keep a journal about what I wanted, who I was, what I loved about myself, and my body. And you know what happened? Those intimacy bulbs I threw up into the air dropped and bloomed for me, my friends and my partner. And I feel loved, valued, respected, and truly accepted for who I am. I can speak in my truth; which at times, can be too much for a lot of people lol! But I can be me and not worry about what other people might think. Who cares anyway? If they see me, they'll love me for who I am, regardless! And I'm not the kind of person who gives two poops at the best of times, for what people think of me or my life.
So if you to are seeking intimacy, I encourage you to ask yourself: What do I see when I look inside myself? Dive in. You might be surprised at what you find and what happens after you go there. Someday someone is going to look at you with a light in their eyes you've never seen, they'll look at you like you're everything they've been looking for their entire lives. Wait for crocus bulbs to pop from your loving intimate nurturing!
Ok, my intimate followers; I encourage you to be freely intimate this week. Feel your connection with the world, as I do!
See you next time
